My mother may have considered that she was "experimenting" with watercolor, but I would say she was a master. She had a quick, deft hand. You would know immediately if it were a cloudy or sunny day. If the latter, you can feel the Maine sun beating down. She often liked to include people and their pets in her work, and this is no exception.
